I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University
of Kentucky in December 2003 and completed my Master's degree in
Education from the University of Louisville in August 2009. I can hardly
believe that this is already my EIGHTH year as a music teacher! My music
background is in piano, french horn, and voice. I have played the piano since
age 5, and horn since age 10. I also have the first of level of certification
in the Orff-Schulwerk approach to music education. I am the sponsor of our
Goshen Elementary Chorus as well as a co-coach of the Goshen Academic Team
(with Mrs. Julich). I also work with Mrs. Hull (the music teacher from Camden
Station Elementary) to co-direct the Oldham Octopi: an auditioned percussion
ensemble for students in 4th or 5th grade.
In my spare time, I enjoy many musical activities in my free time such as
church choir, piano accompaniment, playing the accordion, and Greek and
Russian ethnic dancing.
This is my 7th year teaching at Goshen Elementary, and I'm glad to be a
