Why has my child had to walk at recess?
Occasionally students do not follow the correct procedures for
behavior in
the class, hall, restroom, or cafeteria. In these instances, the
child is
given a warning; if the child continues to ignore procedures,
they are
required to walk at recess time instead of playing. Each
additional
offense, after the warning, adds more walking time.
Why should I send snack money on Monday morning?
Sending snack money on Monday allows the teacher to take up,
count, and
record all money at one time, and helps to make the morning
routine flow
more smoothly for the remainder of the week.
Can my child bring snack money at anytime?
Yes, I will accept snack money each morning, but it is more
efficient to
take it only on Monday.
How can I schedule a conference with the teacher?
You may schedule a conference anytime you have a concern about
your child's
academic progress. Call 606-862-4679, or send a note and I will
contact you
to schedule a conference. I have planning each day from 9:25 -
10:20.

Why does my child bring home a homework packet on Monday only?
I realize that many students have other activities such as music
lessons,
sports, church... during the week. By sending the homework
packet on
Monday, your child has the opportunity to work on it when he does
not have
another activity to attend.
