This is an unofficial List. Acceptance of membership is confirmed upon
completion of signed consent of the guidelines and rules of participation in
the ensemble. This document will be given at the beginning of the school year.

Welcome back Students;
If your are receiving this letter you have successfully garnered a position
as a member of the NOHS
Northern Lights through audition. Congratulations. Being involved in the
organization sets you as an elite member of the Goodwill Ambassadors’ of the
High school and the North Oldham community. Being such,
you have the responsibility to yourself, your show choir team and your school
to adhere to the guidelines
and regulations of the extra curricular activity code of the school. Spelled
out this means you can be relieved from this activity due to non passing
grades, misconduct, and any other rules governed by school policy. On top of
this, you also have to adhere to the guidelines of the director.
We, The Northern Lights, are on the dawn of a new frontier and the bar has
been raised. In order to successfully reach our goals we’ve had to make some
changes. Rehearsal are on Tuesday evening from
6pm to 8pm Thursday 3:45 to 5:45 and varied Saturday Mornings(TBA). Unexcused
absences’ will result in the dismissal or suspension of the organization
without reimbursement of fees or costuming. This ensemble is entering the
competitive circuit and new guidelines have to be addressed. Music is
professionally arranged, dances are being choreographed by a new outside
choreographers and costuming has to be selected to enhance to total show
concept. Hair style and design are also part of the uniformity of the group
which means unauthorized hair color and or styles that cannot be corrected
before performance will result in the dismissal or suspension of the
participant. This year has both the potential and promise of being
incredible, with your cooperation, drive for excellence and love for
performing it undoubtedly will be. This letter will serve as a contract
between the school, director, parent and student as to the agreeing to
following the above mentioned regulations and guidelines. Your signatures
will be the official acceptance into The Northern Lights Show Choir.
