Happy New Year!
This message pertains to Blocks 1, 2 and 3. The Unit Test for Unit 4: American Revolution will be on Monday, January 23rd next week. Today students in classes 1 and 2 received their study guides for the test. Students in class 3 will receive the study guide tomorrow, the 17th.
The completed study guide will be turned in on the test date-- and will be counted as part of the test grade. In the meantime, the study guide will be "chunked" into sections so that students don't wait until the last minute to work on the study guide.
For example, the first "chunk" is due next class: Study Guide #1, 4, 8 and #2 parts a-g.
All materials can be found on my website under the Unit 4 icon.
Students may choose which format to complete the study guide: notebook paper, flashcards, or print a graphic organizer from the website.
It's a great day to be a Mustang~

Hello~
Beginning today and continuing tomorrow, students are being notified of a CHOICE for the Unit 3: Colonial America final assessment.
Students may choose EITHER a Test or a Project.
Information about both the Test and the Project are available on my website under the Unit 3 icon. Students will be informed of both options in class. I have asked that they make a decision on which s/he will do and obtain a parent signature on the information sheet by this Friday, December 9th.
The Project due date and Test date is Wednesday, December 14th for Block 1 class. The Project due date and Test date is Friday, December 16th for Blocks 2 and 3.
Students who opt for the test will need to complete a 40 flashcard study guide that will be counted towards their Test grade. I will provide the index cards in class.
Friday, December 9th will be a work day in class-- for students to work on their Projects OR for students to work on their Study Guides.
Students who fail to earn a passing grade on the Project will have the Test as a re-take option in Saturday School. Students who fail to earn a passing grade on the Test will have the Project as a re-take option in Saturday School.
As we near the Winter Holdiay Break, it is imperative that any student who will be absent for travel notifiy me as soon as possible to create make-up work arrangements.
