6th and 7th Grade Beginning Band Students - Arrive at 6:00, report to The Stage and Perform from 6:30pm to 7:00pm
7th Grade 2nd Year Band Students - Arrive at 6:30, report to the Band Room and Perform from 7:00 to 7:30.

8th Grade Band - Arrive at 7:00, report to the Band Room and perform from 7:30 to 8:00

High School Band - Arrive at 7:30, report to the Band Room and perform from 8:00 to 8:45.

High School students are expected to wear their formal black and white tuxedo attire (black dress shoes, black sox, black dress pants or skirt, and a white tux shirt with black tie and black cumber bun. No Santa Hats allowed for High Schoolers.

 

Middle School students should wear black dress shoes with black pants or skirt and a white button down shirt, 
white polo style shirt, or the official NOMS Concert Band white polo shirt. I am trying to change over from the khaki pants and black shirt we have been wearing for years to a more professional black and white look.  The vaiation of khakis has made this difficult in the past. An order form for an official NOMS Concert Band shirt is at the bottom of the page. Middle Schoolers may dawn a Santa Hat or other Holiday Representing Head gear on the LAST song on which their group
performs but not during the whole performance as we want to practice our professionalism. Students will receive 100 performance points toward their grade for thier participation in this event.

 

Please be advised, it has been suggested to me by several parents that the potential madness caused by trying to have 4 back to back concerts could be helped through the advanced sale of reserved tickets.  I am working on a plan that would accomodate everyone on this topic - those who wish to see just one of the four bands, those who wish to see multiple groups, those who want to purchase a reserved ticket so they know they will have a seat no matter what time they arrive, and those who feel that we should not have to pay to see this event with all the other expenses involved with being in band.  If you have an opinion on the subject, send me an email and I will try to inlcude your thoughts as I develop the plan.

   

The organization of this evening with the learning curve of the new facility is going to be a nightmare, but it is a great problem to have.  Please be patient and supportive as we get through this first experience with band concerts in the new auditorium.
