Pre-Algebra (11/2/09 - 11/6/09)
This week we will be discussing divisibility patterns and factors; prime and
composite number; prime factorization with factor trees; and the greatest
common factor (GCF). Students will be asked to create models of these topics
as well as complete practice problems. The real number system quiz will be
handed back this week.
***QUIZ on these topics next Monday and Tuesday (11/09,11/10)
Accelerated Pre-Algebra (11/2/09 - 11/6/09)
This week we will assess understanding of basic fraction topics. The
fraction brochure is due Tuesday 11/03/09. The operations of multiplying,
dividing, adding, and subtracting of fractions will be started this week.
The quiz on number theory will be handed back as well.
** RETAKE POLICY
Retakes are offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings 7:30 -8:20 and Thursday
afternoons from 3:40 - 4:30
Parents will be notified when a retake is required on an assessment
