FAQFrequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
Who is St. MAM? I've never heard of that saint! St. MAM is an acronym for St. Matthews Area Ministries. What are your hours? Where are you located? Our hours are 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday-Friday. We are located at Lyndon Baptist Church off New Lagrange Road. How much is it? How do I hold a spot for my child? Please see tuition icon or call for more information. In order to hold a spot, we need a $50 non-refundable registration fee. If your child won't be starting immediately, we ask that you check in with us the 1st of each month. Rates will increase the week of August 11, 2008. In the past, we have made part-time care available. However, due to increases in enrollment, we have eliminated part-time care and will only provide drop in services with prior approval. Do you offer drop- in service? We do offer drop-in services with Director approval (esp. for non-school days). Please contact Julie ahead of time if your child will need care on any extra days so we stay within our state ratios. Payments for drop-in/non-school days are due before the services are rendered. Payment is due one week in advance & due on Friday. If it not received by 10 a.m. Monday morning, a $5 per day late fee will be assessed for each day that its late. What do you do in re: to inclimate weather? St. MAM CDC will follow JCPS schedule. Please watch the news stations for notification or call the answering machine. We make every attempt to stay open but we also don't want to sacrifice the safety of our families/children or staff if it is dangerous conditions. ie. If JCPS is on a 2 hour delay, we will be too....which means we will not accept children before 9 a.m.. Unfortunately, we DO NOT have a kitchen in our facility. Our children bring their lunches daily which can be kept in the refrigerators and food can be heated in the microwaves. Parents must send in food that meets the 5 main food groups. Our Three and Four Year Olds take field trips twice a month. One day we minister music to residents at either Atria of St. Matthews or Belmont Village. Another day later on in the month we take a field trip related to the curriculum they are studying. If I am enrolling an infant, what do I need to supply? Infants will need prepared bottles (labeled), a package of diapers, 3 changes of clothing (at all times), food/cereal (if they have reached that milestone), diaper cream (permission form signed), & sippie cup if they are in the transition baby room. |
