• Students will finish their essay questions on Monday.
• Cell Analogy papers are due Monday or Tuesday, your choice.
• Write an analogy of a cell. (Example: city, school, classroom, house, store, mall, restaurant, fast food, amusement park, car, etc.).
• In the first part, describe the city, house, park, etc. Underline or highlight the items that correspond to organelles in the cell. Do not talk about the cell in this first part. Include at least 10 items that represent organelles.
• Then in a bulleted list, describe what each item represent and why. (Example: The mayor represents the nucleus of the cell because she is charge of everything that happens in the city like the nucleus directs all the cell's activities. The roads represent the endoplasmic reticulum because the people in the town travel around on them like the endoplasmic reticulum supplies a passageway through the cell for proteins.)
• This must be typed, size 14 font, double spaced. It should have a complete heading.
• This is a performance event (20% of the 2nd quarter's grade.)
