Test Corrections

NORMALLY, STUDENTS MAY NOT TAKE A TEST OVER OR DO EXTRA CREDIT. FOR MOST
TESTS, STUDENTS ARE GIVEN THE OPTION OF MAKING TEST CORRECTIONS FOR PARTIAL
CREDIT. THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES MUST BE FOLLOWED. Students receiving a D or
U on a test MUST make corrections.

1. QUESTION: Copy any missed questions on loose-leaf paper.
Copy the entire question. You do NOT need to copy all the
answer choices on multiple choice questions. You do NOT need
             to copy the directions.

2. ANSWER: On a new line copy the complete correct answer (letter AND
answer, if applicable). Highlight the answer with a yellow
             highlighter.

3. PAGE AND PROOF: On a new line copy the sentence(s) from your textbook that
explains why this is the correct answer. Include the page
number. If you cannot find the answer in the textbook, copy the
proof from your notes or some other source. Include the source
of the information and the date of the notes, if applicable.
The following are not acceptable explanations: “I found it in
my notes (or book).” “My mother (father, brother, etc.) told
me.” “I found it on the internet.” “I remember you said it in
class.” “It says it on page 45.” For the Safety test, copy the
appropriate rule from the Safety Contract. For vocabulary, copy
the definition from the glossary. YOU MUST HAVE PROOF NOT JUST
             PAGE NUMBERS OR LOCATIONS.

4. Skip a line between questions.

5. Staple the corrections to the FRONT of the SIGNED test.

6. Return to class within TWO days.

7. Students who received a D or U on the test and choose not to make
corrections will phone home and be required to stay after school to make
the corrections. They will not receive any credit for the corrections
   however.
