4TH QUARTER PROJECT due 5/17/12 (A copy of the rubric will come home with
students today)
Students are completing teacher approved experiments/investigations to
demonstrate knowledge from a topic of their choice.
They may choose from the investigations in the books at school or bring in
others for approval.
Students completing experiments at home need to document through written
journals as well as photographs. Students are responsible for creating a power
point presentation or poster that shows the science behind their
investigation.
Students will have 5-10 minutes to present the results of their experiment OR
conduct their experiment starting MAY 17
Questions to answer in your presentation:
1. What is the science behind your experiment?
2. How does it work?
3. When was it first noticed?
4. Who noticed it?
5. How does knowing it help us?
6. What did you learn from your experiment?
7. Did your results line up with your hypothesis?
8. Share any interesting facts you discovered in your research or
experiment.
