Listen to your child read the story in the folder aloud nightly. Initial that
you have heard it. Study vocabulary words every night. There will be written
reading homework.
Study the spelling words each night. Give your child a practice test at home
and work on any words that are missed. Backward letters are marked wrong, so
make sure your child writes the words correctly. Have your child use each
word in an oral sentence.
Math homework will be sent home this week.
When your child brings home checked papers, go over any items that were
missed.
Discuss the first Thanksgiving with your child.
