I enjoy educating children of tomorrow. I love to see kids light up every
single day when they learn something new. I have been teaching for 9 years
at Abney Elementary. I have taught grades: 1st, T-1,2nd,3rd,and
5th.Teaching all the different grades taught me so much! I know what the
students need to know from 1st thru 5th!!
I have to wonderful boys, Jay, who is 13 yrs.old and Jake,
who is 6 yrs. old.
I was born and raised in New Orleans.I graduated with honors from Abramson
High School in 1995. I continued my education at University of New Orleans in
Elementary Education.I am certified to teach grades 1-8th!!I graduated with a
Bachlor's Degree in Fine Arts: Elementary Education.I'm still pursuing my
goal for a Master Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at UNO.I love to go
fishing, water skiing, and to exercise on my free time.
My goal for every year is to teach my students how to become independent
learners!I want your child to get up and be excited to come to school. When a
child enjoys their education, they will definitely succeed in ANYTHING they
pursue in life!!I have high expectations for EVERY child. Every child learns
different, and my job is to teach them in their own way-not mine. Thanks for
giving me an opportunity to teach your child-I promise I will not let you and
your child down!!I look forward to another wonderful year!!
