  Hi! Welcome to our class website. My name is Ms. Martinez, and I love 
teaching. For the past 28 years I've had the pleasure of working with 
students in all grade levels between kindergarten and eighth grade. My very 
favorite grade is fourth grade, and that's the one which I've taught the 
longest. 

     I have two sons who are grown and on their own. Blake is a drummer with 
a band called Letters In Red. He is truly an awesome musician and it truly 
amazes me that he's so coordinated, and I'm not. Scott was a sailor with the 
United States Navy. He returned home on September 14.  I'm so proud of him 
and all that he's accomplished over the last four years. He is currently 
working for an engineering company. Then there's Sadie, my golden 
retriever fur person. Her offical name is Golden Mercedes. She pretty much 
rules the house, but is so lovable about it that I'm happy to let her.

     One of my favorite quotes is by James Madison. He said, "Knowledge will 
forever govern ignorance. And a people who mean to be their own governors 
must arm themselves with the power which only knowledge gives." Thanks for

Mission For The Class

     Our class mission is to become students who take academic 
responsibility for learning (STARS). We hope to reach as high as we can, and 
learn as much as we can. Our goal is not just to pass the LEAP, but to 
Master it.
