This will be my 3rd year here at Abney. I have taught 2nd grade the past two
years, however I am now moving to 4th and very excited about it! I have been
married to my wonderful husband for seven years and we have two beautiful
boys together, Jackson and Jake.
I graduated from LSU in 2000 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. I
became a truancy officer for six years so...I know how important attendance
is to the education of a child! I decided to go back to school to pursue my
Master's Degree. I received a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from
Southeastern Louisiana University in December, 2006....and have been loving
every minute of teaching!
I am a very vibrant and fun-loving teacher! We have lots of fun in my
classroom, but there is also a time to be serious. I implement many things
in my classroom including: PBS, KAGAN, and CHAMPs.
I love coffee from Starbucks and McDonalds. I absolutely LOVE the SAINTS
(Scott Fujita is my ALL TIME FAVORITE)!!!
I am looking forward to ANOTHER great year...this time teaching 4th grade!!!
My mission is for every child to learn and succeed on their level. I want
to make learning a fun and memorable experience!!!
