Weekly Sneak Peak

For the Week of August 24, 2009

Throughout the units in Language arts and Math, we will continue to ask and answer these essential questions. 

Language Arts Essential Questions:

·         How can my talents help others?

·         How can I help my community?

·         How do we demonstrate respect for others?

·         How can I communicate my ideas?

 

       Mathematic Essential Questions:

·         How can I show the same number in different ways?

·         How are some numbers alike? Why would we call them family?

·         Why do I use numbers to show “how much” and “how many”?

·         Why do numbers have rules?

  Our Catch of the Week:

We caught Joaquina doing a great job this week.  Keep it up!!!!

                Skill focus: Context clues/character, setting,plot

Language: commands and exclamations                               

Math: place Value Chapter 1 Test on Wednesday
