How much time should my child be spending doing homework?

Your child should be spending no more than 1 hour doing homework that is
assigned. Also, your child should be reading about 20 minutes each
night and studying math facts. If your child is spending more than 60 minutes a night on
school work; please talk to him/her about focusing in class.
I don't assign homework every night. I find if a student participates fully and is engaged in class;
he/she will do well academically. Also, usually the students who don't do assigned homework;
also don't participate in class and receive poor grades that reflect their effort.
