I was born in Breaux Bridge, La. I graduated from the University of
Southwestern Louisiana, now called ULL, with a Bachelors Degree in Education
in 1976 and a Masters Degree in 1981. I have been teaching ever since,
approximately 25 years. I also owned a Day Care center for five years prior
to moving to St. Tammany Parish in 1990. Needless to say, children are my
business!!!
I have two amazing sons, Matt and Josh. Matt is 31 and lives in Denver,
Colorado. He is a photographer. Josh is 28 and lives in Daytona Beach,
Florida where he obtained a degree as an Air Traffic Controller. He is now
working as a bartender. I am so happy that I get to travel to two fabulous
destinations each year.
The mission for my class is that every child can have a successful year of
learning math using manipulatives through the combined efforts of parents and
teacher.
