Dear Parents,
Happy New Year! As we begin the new year, we are excited about what 2012
will bring. Please continue to encourage your child to complete all classwork
and homework in a timely manner! I am encouraging all my students to study
their math facts and spelling words each night as this will help them make
better grades! Please also continue to check agendas each night for
assignments, notes, etc.

Please have your child study their words nightly as well as completing their

the word meaning and how to use these words in sentences.

ELA- We are learning about different types of verbs(linking, irregular,
actinon and verb tenses.) Please have your child study the Be Family Verbs

MATH- This nine weeks we are working on IEP goals and continuing our basic
skills. It is important that the students know their math facts. Please have
them study these nightly. We are working on area and perimeter, evaluation
expressions in algebra using varibles,division, and calculator skills.
