2012 HOMEWORK FOCUS HAS CHANGED 2012
Spelling homework has been cut back to twice a week. Two written activities
are to be completed and turned in by Thursday. Answers to comprehension
questions are now required. Every Tuesday your child is to bring home their
reading textbook. (They may also bring it home any other day of the week.) At
the end of the story there are questions that are to be answered in writing.
Homework schedule:
Monday: Read weekly story, write vocabulary words in sentences.
Tuesday: Read weekly story, answer story comprehension questions in writing.
Get Graded Papers folder signed.
Wednesday: Read weekly story, find the story vocabulary words in the story
and circle or highlight them, read library book, study for
spelling test tomorrow. (2 spelling activities due tomorrow!)
Thursday: Read weekly story, complete one free choice vocabulary activity,
read library book, get spelling test signed.
Friday: Get spelling test signed (if retaken), read library book, enjoy
your weekend!
Math pages and various activities will be placed in the Return to School
pocket of the homework folder as assigned. These are to be completed and
returned the next day.
