September’s Home Project
This month’s home project is to make a Reading treasure box. This
box will be used to put all of your child’s phonics readers and take-home
books in that he/she completes in class and for homework. At the end of the
year, your child will have a box full of reading treasures to look back upon
and will be able to say that he/she read all of the treasures inside!!!
Use a standard size shoe box and decorate it with items that tell
all about you and bring it in to school by Friday, September 26. You may
bring it in earlier than that to share if you finish before the due date!
We will share the boxes as they are brought in and then your child
will bring his/her box home. As I check your child’s homework and send the
phonics and take-home readers back to you in the daily folder, you can then
put them into the treasure box to keep! Have fun with this and I can’t wait
to see them!
