This is my sixth year as the counselor at Bonne E'cole Elementary. I 
absolutely LOVE my job.  

A lot of people do not know what the school counselor's role is in the 
school or what the educational background of a counselor is so I hope that I 
can give you a better understanding of my position. In addition to providing 
mental health counseling to the students on an as needed basis, I facilitate 
guidance lessons to every classroom on social skills and other important 
issues through classroom visits and videos, facilitate group counseling 
sessions, serve as the Gifted Testing Coordinator, serve as the Kids in 
Transition Liaison, serve as 504 Coordinator, serve as Dibels test 
administer, serve as Positive Behavior Support moderator, prepare for i-
Leap, do duty two days a week, and wear many other hats.  It's never a dull 
moment at Bonne Ecole because every day is different and brings new 
challenges.
