My name is Cassie Rogers and this is my seventh year teaching gifted ELA and
my first year teaching Earth Science at Boyet Jr. High. I began my teaching
experience over ten years ago at Gretna Middle School on the Westbank shortly
after my graduation from the University of New Orleans. I hold a Master's
Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Gifted Education from
Southeastern Louisiana University. My proudest moment as an educator has
been being selected as the 2011-2012 Teacher of the Year.
I spend my leisure time reading voraciously and bonding with my husband, our
beautiful daughter and our rambunctious puppy. We love to barbecue with our
neighbors and have big get-togethers for all of the Saints games!
My mission for the class is to establish a positive learning environment
where all students feel free to be who they are and express their creativity
while making the most of every learning opportunity.
