This is my fifth year at Captain Shreve, and I am proud to be a gator! I am
certified and highly qualified in Secondary Education Mathematics. I have
been married for 18 years and have two bright, loving children, ages 10 and
12. My hobbies are tent camping, reading and exercising. My joy comes
from helping others and learning new things. I am a member of First Baptist
Church in Bossier.
I feel blessed to have 140 teenagers in my life to teach them the importance
of math and how to overcome challenges.
It is my goal to have your child succeed at becoming an independent thinker
and problem solver. I will motivate, inspire and encourage your child, build
his/her self-esteem, help them overcome anxiety and/or fear about math and
excite them about learning.
It is critical for your child's success that you are involved in the education
process. Several ways this can be accomplished is to ensure homework is being
completed, encourage tutor sessions if needed, making sure your child is
studying on a regular basis, view the grades online, support the teachers by
reinforcing the school rules and classroom policies, and have close contact
with the teachers through email, telephone calls or by scheduling a conference
if you feel your child is not performing up to his/her potential.
Together, we can make this year a successful year for your child!
