A good notebook or loose leaf binder. This notebook or binder is taken

How do you post grades so students can "know" their status ?

Grades are regularly updated on TeacherWeb. Students with a D or F will
receive a progress report for you to sign and return to me.

What about discipline?

I follow the disciplinary handbook. Caddo Parish policy on tardies, dress
code, and unacceptable behavior are clearly explained. Every student
is given this handbook, so ask to see it. I also give every student a class
syllabus with procedures and rules to sign for. My rules are also posted
on the wall. Violations can result in BMR, parental contact and possible
suspension. I enforce the rules.

How can my child be successful in your class ?

Very simply.
(1) Follow the rules
(2) Take good notes and READ the material.
(3) Do NOT just look at notes the night before the test. Cramming never
        works.
(4) Have a positive attitude. Realize teachers want your child to be
       successful.
(5) Students must accept responsibility. Do not blame others for poor
grades. Students' grades reflect the effort they put in!

with the counselor. School policy.

policy. Nonpayment can result in withholding a report card.

Will students be issued a textbook ?

Yes. Every student will be issued a textbook. The student is financially
responsible for this book. Failure to turn it in at the end of the semester
will result in a debt and report withholding till returned or paid for.
Definitely, ask to see this textbook !
