I am from Slidell and have lived here almost my entire life. I have been
married for 21 years to Philip (Rooney) Jr and we have three
children Kaitlin age 16, Trey age 15 and Zachary is 12 years old.
They attend Clearwood Jr.High and Northshore High. My husband
Rooney owns and operates Phil's Marina Cafe in Oak Harbor.
This is my eleventh year of teaching and my sixth year teaching in the
gifted program. I have a Bachelors degree in education and a Masters of
Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a gifted concentration. I
am excited to be here at Clearwood Jr. High and I look forward to working
with you. I hope to inspire students by making learning more enjoyable and
challenging.
My mission for the class is to provide a safe ,nuturing environment in
which learning takes place through challenging yet fun learning activities
and lessons.
