Absences:
I will follow all parish and school rules for make-up work. YOU have several options of how to handle the situation:
* Find a buddy to call for missed assignments.
* Use class planner to work on any ongoing assignments.
* Check http://teacherweb.com/LA/Clearwood/Quigg for the assignments for the week.
* Check your assignment planner to see if there is an assignment or a test due the day you return. ***Unless a study guide was given the day of your absence, you will be expected to take the test as scheduled, or turn in ongoing assignments such as written essays and
project upon your return from your absence.
* Turn your blue slip into me, or no assignments can be made up
* Check class copy of assignments in assignment binder on back table and the make up file for any assignments or missed handouts.
* YOU should turn in any assignments that were due while you were out:
****I will NOT be responsible for tracking down your assignments****
*YOU have 3 days to inquire and schedule make up appointments with me, or you will receive zeros on any missed assignments, tests, or projects.
HOMEWORK ( Posted online at http://teacherweb.com/LA/Clearwood/Quigg or you can get there from http://clearwoodjunior.stpsb.org/ ). Please note: MOST homework is going to consist of any work that was not completed during class time. STUDYING for tests is something you do for homework. You need to be prepared for a test by reviewing material ahead of time while at home.
Assignments will not be taken for partial credit after its due date.
If you don’t have it, it will count as a zero.
(The only exceptions to this rule are large writing assignments and projects. In these cases, 10 pts per day will be deducted before it is graded.)
The amount of homework you have will depend on how productive you were in class. Any class work not finished is automatically homework for the night. You will be allowed class time to begin most assignments. All homework will be checked whether it is for a grade or not. All assignments must be attempted. Some assignments will be checked for accuracy and some will be checked for completion. * Failure to write in COMPLETE SENTENCES will result in no credit given. Studying is also considered part of homework. Studying in small amounts every night will reduce the amount of time needed to study before a big test. Correct any missed problems to study, study words, definitions and look over all notes and stories.
