PARENT'S HOMEWORK = Please sign your child's folder each night and return it
to school each day. This is our way of communicating with each other.
Please help your child each night by taking 10 minutes to do any of the
following:
1. Read a book to them.
2. Have them count objects such as spoons, toothpicks, pennies, etc.
3. Have then pick out specific letters from writing in a book, newspaper or
magazine.
4. Ask them to write specific numbers or letters.
5. Ask them to draw specific shapes, square, circle, triangle, rectangle, etc.
6. Teach them their address and phone number.
7. Go over the family plan if there is an emergency and what they should do,
such as a fire, parent becoming sick, etc.
8. Find specific colors in books or magazines or name other items of the same
color.
9. Play catch outside.
10. Have your child help you with chores around the house, such as folding
laundry, setting the table, gardening, keeping their room clean.
11. Enjoy time with each other.
12. Give each other a hug!
