INSTRUCTIONAL GOALS
This year we will cover culture, history and geography of Spain, Mexico, Central and South American countries, vocabulary, conjugation of verbs, and grammar.
At the end of this course, students will:
Know how to talk about themselves, describe likes and dislikes, plans for their future, talk about their family and friends, in the present, and in the past tenses.
Understand Spanish questions/conversation and be able to respond appropriately.
Use the present, and the past tenses of regular and irregular Spanish verbs.

To successfully complete this course, student must:
Know English grammar and conjugations
Remember vocabulary and lessons from Spanish I course
Understand that doing homework reinforces what I teach in class
Study vocabulary and notes
Required Materials:
To successfully complete this course, students will need:
A three ringed binder or a folder with pockets and prongs
Loose leaf paper
Pen and pencil
WorkbookSpanish/English dictionary
Online Resources:
These sites will be given to students as needed for projects, etc.
CURRICULUM AND ASSESSMENT:
Class work and Homework will be given for each lesson.
Quizzes and test will be given to assess each chapter.
One individual project or a group project will be given each semester.
One nine-week exam. One comprehensive exam will be given at the end of each nine-week.

A 93 - 100 Exam 20%
B 85 - 92 Classwork 70%
C 75 - 84 Homework 10%
D 67 - 74

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
CLASSROOM RULES:
Be in your seat when the bell rings
Be prepared for class
Follow directions the first time they are given
Respect all people and their property
CLASSROOM DISCIPLINE PLAN:
First time: Warning
Second time: Talk with student outside the classroom
Third time: Personal detention. Parents contacted
Fourth time: Referral written and student sent to the office
Severe Disruption: Student sent immediately to the office
MAKE UP TESTS AND QUIZZES:
Excused absences only: make up tests and quizzes Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:45, room 826.
You must understand that it is your responsibility to get make up work after an absence and turn it in or make it up in a timely manner.
CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR:
Do not talk while I am teaching or giving instructions to the class.
Remain in your desk unless given permission.
Raise your hand if you need to ask a question.
BATHROOM PASSES:
You will have three passes to the bathroom per each nine weeks.
SCHOOL RULES:
School rules will be enforced in the classroom.
