My name is Laura Aysen and I am so excited to be working with you at
Creekside this year. History is my passion and it is my ultimate hope
that I can pass on my love of the subject to my students. The primary focus
of my class is to introduce students to the wonderful world in which we now
live. Together we will explore the ancient history and physical aspects of
our planet. We will also learn how the history and geography of the world
have affected the way that we now live. Please don’t hesitate to contact me

MEET MY STUDENT TEACHER, MS. PUCCIO!
Hi! My name is Jennifer Puccio and I will be stuent teaching with Mrs. Aysen
this semester. I am currently enrolled in the Alternative Certification
Program at the University of New Orleans. I will be recieving my
certification in Middle School Social Studies. I graduated from UNO with a BA
in Political Science and a minor in History in 2006.
I began teaching in 2010 in Jefferson Parish and have been teaching there the
past 2 years. I taught at Meisler Middle School in Metairie and Roosevelt
Middle School in Kenner. I enjoy teaching Middle School and I look forward to
teaching and learning with Mrs. Aysen and her classes!
Two of my favorite things are history and travel, and I hope to excite all of
my students in learning about our past and about other places in the world.
Historian David McCollough said, “History is a guide to navigation in
perilous times. History is who we are and why we are the way we are.”
Hopefully, in my social studies class, my students will learn a bit about who
they are and why they are that way.
