Notes and Reminders:
Parents, Friday will be a test day. If you are going to check your child out
early Friday or if he/she will be absent, please let me know. If your child
will not be here Friday, he/she will need to take all tests on Thursday.
If interims grades were not as good as you would like, you have time to bring
those grades up. Study! Do your homework. Have your parent check your
homework answers! Learn your mulitiplication facts.
Drill math facts every day! Please drill facts a bit over the holiday. We
don’t want to forget what we have worked so hard to learn.
Have a great Thanksgiving Holiday!!
This Week:
Math: We will finish Chapter 9 this week. Our test will be Friday. We will
have a timed test on 0-5 facts Friday. I give students 3 seconds per fact. I
will allow a little extra time on the first quiz, but 3 seconds is the
expected time. Facts must be memorized.
Reading: This week we will be reading Thanksgiving books, Samual Eaton’s Day
and Sarah Morton’s Day. Study your vocabulary. You will have a test Thursday
over both stories, vocabulary, and pre-fixes.
English/Writing: We will finish Unit 3 on verbs this week and have our unit
test on Friday. This is a big test. Use your textbook to review.
Spelling/Phonics: words with the prefixes un and re
We will have a bubble test (bubble in the correctly spelled word) on Thursday
and a written test on Friday.

Social Living: Chapter 8 Test this Tuesday. We will do Thanksgiving activites
the rest of the week.
