This Week:
Math: Chapter 12, DIVISION! This chapter test will be next week. We will
continue to review/test multiplication facts according to the schedule I sent
home. If you know your multiplication facts, division is easy!
Reading: Our story this week is an Expository Non-fiction story, A Tree is
Growing. An expository non-fiction story is one that explains information
and ideas.
Robust Vocabulary: Practice using our vocabulary words in conversation and
sentences.
Reading Skill: Author’s Purpose; An author writes story for a reason. It
may be to entertain you, give you information about a topic, or give his or
her opinion about a topic. We will also practice reading diagrams.
English/Writing: Unit 4: We are learning about adverbs. Class work will be
graded. I don’t assign English homework, but you may take your English book
home to review if you need to improve your grade.
Spelling/Phonics: Words with/s/, /j/g, and dge:

Social Living: Study your study guide every evening. Chapter 10 Test will be
Friday. Take your textbook home and read what we have studied in class if
necessary. If you are absent or check out early, you must read the lesson you
missed at home.
