• We've started multiplication.  Memorize those facts!!!

• Knowing the basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts is imperative in third grade.  Please work with your child starting with their addition and subtraction facts.  They will have a timed fact quiz every Friday, with the time allowed decreasing each time.  They should be able to answer a problem in 3 seconds or less.  You can do flashcards, practice quizzes, games, anything that helps them learn.  There are some flashcard sites on the links section of this website.  You can also go to www.math-drills.com to print out practice pages for them to take tests at home.

• Eastside collects Boxtops for Education, Campbell's Soup Labels, and Community Coffee UPC.  Please send these to school with your child.  The school earns money back each year for sending these in.  These funds help to purchase materials needed at the school.
