Hello! My name is Rhonda Cross and I will be teaching your child (except
Gateway) English/Language Arts which includes spelling, writing,and
grammar.
This is my fourth year at Fairfield; the other two being in second grade. I
am starting my 26th year in Caddo Parish; 15 as a school psychologist and 11
as a teacher. I am so excited to be teaching fifth graders. I am currently
working on my dissertation for my Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction. I love
to read, read, read! We are going to have a great year and I look forward to

Hi,my name is Lisa Benson and I am so excited about teaching your child
Science and Social Studies this year. For the past five years, I was the
fourth grade Language Arts teacher here at Fairfield. Prior to that I
was a self contained fifth grade teacher at Walnut Hill.As most of us
remember, I left unexpectedly last November because of the twin
pregnancy. After 8 weeks of strict bedrest, LJ and I were finally able to
meet our beautiful twin girls, Harper and Gracie. We also have a four year
old daughter, Emma. LJ and I want to thank everyone for all their thoughts
and prayers last year. Your kindness meant so much to us.
As the new fifth grade teacher this year I will be working very closly with
Stephani Farris, our new Science lab teacher, and she is AWESOME as many of
you already know! I am very excited to return to fifth grade and I'm looking
forward to a great year!!

My name is Emily Parker and this is my eleventh year in the
classroom. Two years ago I received my National Board Certification and will
be completing my Master's Degree this December. Earlier this year, my
husband and I found out we were expecting our first child and are due on
Oct. 6th. We are very excited, as this is a prayer answered. My goal is to
work up until my due date and return in January. (Natalie Howell will
be subbing for me during my maternity leave.)
I am looking forward to meeting all my students this year and anticipate
