Congratulations to the Fairfield Festival Choir for making Sweepstakes at the
LA State Choral Festival in Natchitoches, LA on May 3, 2012! After our
performance and sight reading, we had a chance to listen to some other choirs
perform and then went to Fort St. Jean Baptiste for lunch and a tour and took
the Historic Trolley Tour of the downtown area.
On Saturday, April 30, 10 of our 5th graders participated in the dance
section of Showcase, the Caddo Parish Music program during Artbreak. The
dancers were the stars of the show!
Beginning Thursday, May 10, 3rd graders interested in choir next year may
come to rehearsal with the Festival Choir on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at
7:30 a.m. We will be learning the All State Audition piece for next fall.
We have had a great year thanks to everyone working together to reach our
goals. Thanks to all of you for being a part of Fairfield and helping us to
achieve great things! You are FANTASTIC!!!!!
