String student recruitment was at the end of last year - however any new
interested students are welcome. Kindergarten has not been recruited yet and
will be done after school begins for them. I, Miss Darden, am returning this
year as string instructor for all grades. I have many fine talented
students. Beginners will be learning- proper care of instruments, how to
properly handle instrument in the correct playing position, class routines,
and class rules with emphasis on Listening and Following Directions. Students
who are returning will be reviewing pieces and scales, going forward with
technique, reviewing class routines, and reviewing class rules with emphasis
on Listening and Following Directions. Learning to read music and musical
signs and symbols is also emphasized.
