I would like to introduce myself. This is my second year at Fairfield Magnet
and I am very excited about being here! This is my 14th year as a teacher
and my fourth year teaching first grade. I have two daughters that attend
Fairfield. Kara is in 5th grade and Sydney is in third grade. I have a
third daughter, Alayna, who will be four at the end of August. My husband,
Douglas, is also a teacher. He teaches math at Bossier High School. He is
a Canadian and we love to visit his parents in Nova Scotia when we can. We
met in Canada while I was working with the BSU. We have been married for
sixteen years. I grew up in Keithville and have always attended Caddo
parish schools. Last summer I completed my Master's Degree in Guidance and
Counseling at LA Tech University. I realize the need for a strong
educational background and I intend to provide that for each child in my
classroom.
I strive to meet each child's learning style by using a variety of teaching
methods. I also strive to make this learning process fun!
