Reach for the "STARS" reading challenge begins May 7th.
What is Reach for the Stars!!?
Reach for the stars is a pledge based reading incentive program that works like a read-a-thon. We put books into the hands of students and reward them for reading. At the same time, it provides the school or organization cash and/or books.
What is the Goal of the Program??
The goal of the Reach for the Stars!! program is for the participants to read, or to be read to, 210 minutes or more for the week begining May 7th and ending May 14th. This is an average of 30 minutes per weekday. This can include reading at home and/or school. Education experts encourge routine daily reading and recommend a minimum every day.
What do the kids gets??
They develop a reading routine!!
They also get free books!! 
50% in books to participating students and
50% in books to teacher
This program gets the kids reading and keeps them reading by giving them books to keep at home!!

The last day to check out library books is Wednesday, May 16. 
All books and materials must be turned back in to the Library by
Friday, May 25th.
