What I would like to tell you most about myself is that I am passionate about
teaching Language Arts, and I love inspiring high school students to want to
learn more about reading and writing.
I am certified in English Education and Communication Arts. At Fontainebleau
High School, I teach English III (American Literature),Journalism I&II
(newspaper writing) and Yearbook I&II. I have been teaching at FHS for seven
years. My teaching career spans lots of levels. I have taught preschool,
junior high and high school.
My mission is to teach, inspire, learn and enjoy Language Arts in all forms.
I try always to remember that my students are unique and come from many
different places educationally, socially and emotionally. My job is to try to
meet them where they are and take them to a place where they are proud to be.
To reach my goals, I need to enlist the help of not only the students but
their parents as well. Parents can make all the difference in a student's
motivation and development.
