Where do I find my child's lunch account number? 8 digit student ID?
Lunch account numbers and student ID numbers will be written on the inside of each
student's RED take home folder.
What should I do if homework is taking my child over 30 minutes?
At that point, kindly draw a line on the homework, state
time/date, and include a parent signature.

please sign and return the stapled cover sheet the next day.

We have P.E. on Thursdays and Fridays - PLEASE wear tennis shoes!

Progress Reports are sent home at the half way point of each
report card grading period. They are required for all grades
below a "D".
What is a BUZZ BUCK?
A Buzz Buck is a color coded form of Honey Island "money" that is
earned by students for good citizenship. Buzz Bucks can be spent
at the Honey Island store on Thursdays during recess.

your child's username/password :-)
Why does my child need to explain his/her mathematical problem solving?
St. Tammany Parish combines 2 successful Math programs to meet
the state curriculum requirements (Investigations and Scott
Foresman/Addison Wesley). Part of this curriculum requires
students to "explain" their thinking process (words and/or
pictures to show how they got their answer), in addition to
stating the answer.
How do I order from the Scholastic book clubs?
We will not be doing online ordering at this time. Book orders
will go home monthly. If you choose to order, please make your
check payable to SCHOLASTIC (do NOT send cash :-)
I want my child to read this weeks basal story - Can textbooks be brought home?
Yes - textbooks have been bar coded and assigned to each student.
He or she may bring them home... HOWEVER, they must be returned
to school for DAILY USE.
Why isn't Scholastic Online ordering available?
Somewhere in the U.S. there is another "Paula Conway/teacher". In the past,
our online accounts have gotten mixed up. For this reason, only the
paper option will be available this year (CHECKS only).
When can my child check out a library book?
We have Library each Wednesday - However, your child should
carry "something" to read (from home/public library) in his/her
back-pack everyday.
