Who Dat! GO SAINTS! We did it! We had such a wonderful time at our Super
Bowl party on Friday. Thank you for sending in supplies and/or volunteering
to help at the party.
Our Valentine’s Day party will be Friday beginning at 2:15. We will exchange
valentines and enjoy some treats. I will be sending home a class list
Monday. If your child passes out treats, please make sure to have enough for
everyone.
It is really important that your child knows his/her math facts. Try to
practice every night on double digit addition and subtraction with
regrouping. We are practicing as much as we can in class, but I need your
help to work with your child at home too. We are going to continue for a few
more weeks on word problems, and they are only going to get more
complicated. It is crucial that we start focusing more on the word problems
than on the basic math facts. I have some helpful links on our website too.

Don't forget to buy a yearbook and class portrait. It is a great memento for
your child to keep forever.
Test packets go home every Wednesday. Please sign or initial EACH test and
return the packet to me on Thursday.
Please save and send in Box Tops.
Please listen to your child read every night. We are working on reading
fluency in class, and your child would benefit from reading aloud at home.
Please send lunch money on Mondays if possible. Please put the money in a
sealed envelope with labeled your child’s name, lunch code, amount, and Mrs.
Pitman.
