I graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Elementary Education. This will be my third year
teaching at Honey Island. For me, teaching and education in
general has always been an extremely important part of my life.
I believe that the primary goal of education is to provide students
with individualized instruction. All children are capable of learning, and I
believe that it is my responsibility to provide a positive and enriching
environment where each student can explore ideas and develop a deep
understanding of the concepts being taught. I plan to teach by using
multiple methods and resources because I know that not every child learns in
the same way. My goals for your child are that he/she leaves my classroom
as a life long learner and a critical thinker. With these skills in place,
your child will be successful in life.
My husband, Jay, and I have been married for two years. We just had
our first child, Caleb, in April. He is amazing, and I am truly enjoying
being a mom. I had an extra long summer, and I am excited to be back making
a difference in my students' lives.
