Notes & Reminders

For November 9 – 13, 2009

1. Snack Schedule
    Two more SI employees have been given the responsibility to bring snacks
    in for SI-Mart.
   
    Please remember to follow the guidelines written on the letter sent home.  

2. FISH Week
    This week has been designated as "FISH Week" for Honey Island. Each day
    will have a different theme which will correspond to our FISH philosophy.

    Here is the schedule:

    Monday: "Be There for Our Country." Employees can wear red, white and
                    blue tops with their uniform bottoms.

    Tuesday: "Make Someone's Thanksgiving Day." Employees can bring
                   donated food items to give to needy families. Tuesday is the last
                   day to do this.

    Wednesday: "Choose an Inside/ Outside Attitude." Employees may wear
                  their uniforms inside out.

    Thursday: "Have Fun at School." Employees will receive a small treat.

    Friday: "Go Fishing." Employees may wear fishing attire. 

3. Food Drive
    The annual HIE food drive officially began today and will continue through
    Tuesday, November 17.  

4.  Interims
    A few interims were issued last Thursday. If your child received one, please 
    complete the paper send home and return it to the SI office. I will begin 
    scheduling appointments this week. 

    Please remember all parent-teacher conferences can be scheduled any day of 
    the week from 2:35-3:00. 

5. Story of the Week 
    There will be no story this week. We will be working on and completing a
    reading brochure project.
