A little bit about me:
This will be my seventh year here at Monteleone Junior High teaching American
History. Before teaching here at Monteleone, I taught English, Math, and
Reading at Fontainebleau Jr High for two years. I taught for six years in St
Charles Parsih as a 6th and 8th grade Social Studies teacher. Last but not
least I started my teaching career in my hometown, Shreveport, as a fifth
grade teacher of: Math, Science, and Social Studies.
I graduted College in 1996 from Northeast Lousiana University in Monroe
with a BA in Elementary Education 1-8. While attending college, I was a
member of the NLU band as part of the color guard. I recently graduated with
my masters in educational leadership from Southeastern Louisiana University.
I am the oldest of four; I have one sister and two brothers. My siblings
and mom live in Shreveport. I also have three nephews.
I have three dogs; a boston terrier, Guiness, an english bulldog, killian
and a Scottish Terrier, McGuire.
Of Course, they are spoiled rotten. McGuire is 12, Guiness is 5 and
killian is a year old.
Some of my favorite things to do are: travel, read, scuba dive, hang out
with friends and family. This summer I went to the Dominican Republic with
my husband, mom and best friend. We went scuba diving and just hung out.
Every summer I try to travel during the month of July. I am currently
reading anytinhg "I add to my kindle.
I hope this little blurb has helped in getting to know me; your teacher.
