I lived in Denham Springs for 21 years before moving to Gonzales where I
lived for 4 years. I graduated from Denham Springs High School in 1983 and
attended college at Southeastern Louisiana University. I received an
Accounting Degree in December of 1987. Upon graduation I worked
for 2 years and decided to go back to school and get my alternate
certification in Business Education and Math Education. After getting
certified to be a teacher, I taught (Algebra and Financial Math) and coached
(Asst. Girl's Basketball and Head Girl's Softball Coach) at Albany High
School for 5 years. My 6th year of teaching began at Live Oak High School
teaching Financial Math and Geometry. I am now in my 13th year at Live Oak
High School and I teach Intro to BCA,Financial Math, and Team Sports. This
year I am coaching Cross Country and Girl's Basketball. I am also an advisor
for FBLA.
I currently live in Watson and have lived here for 18 years. My Husband
(Wade)and I have been married for 22 years. We have two children (Brittany -
19 and Brooke - 16).
My mission for the classes I teach (Intro to BCA and Financial Math) is for
all students to do their best at all times.
Financial Math is probably the best math a student could take to get them
ready for everyday life.
Intro to BCA is very important for every high school student. Students will
learn keyboarding and will learn all about Microsoft 2007. How to type and
the basics of computers is essential for the world we live in today.
