HOMEWORK CONTRACT         

NOTES:
Tuesday - Library
Thursday - Spelling Test, Math Test
Friday - Reading/Vocabulary, Science Test, Possessive Nouns test

Language: 
Possessive nouns and possessive plural nouns

Math:
Odd and Even
Ordinal numbers through 20
Data from a Chart

Science:
Students will work in stations and draw a web chart of different insects they 
are familiar with.

Social Studies:
Students will work in stations make a chart of local animals.

***  MORE IMPORTANT NOTES:   
CUB ROARS will be sent home once a week (usually Wednesday or Thursday.) 
Please SIGN AND RETURN them the next day WITH ALL GRADED PAPERS.  

READING TEXTBOOKS WILL BE SENT HOME ON THURSDAYS for your child to 
read ALOUD the story of the week in preparation for Friday's Test.  Please 
send the TEXTBOOK BACK TO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY.

SNACK SHACK is beginning this Friday (Sept. 4). Please send in your child's 
money in a labeled envelope.

Spelling – spelling choice
Math – worksheet
Language – no homework
Reading – Read “Monarch Takes Flight” to someone you know, then underline 
the long "i" words. Don't forget to study your vocabulary words.

TUESDAY:  
Spelling – spelling choice
Math – worksheet
Language – no language homework
Reading – Write a sentence for each vocabulary word.
Science - Study the study guide for quiz on Friday.

WEDNESDAY: 
Spelling – spelling choice AND take a practice spelling test
Math – worksheet
Language – worksheet possessive nouns
Reading – Read “Hermie the Hermit Crab” to someone you know.
Science - color sheet

THURSDAY: 
Spelling – No homework in spelling
Math – No Homework
Language – worksheet
Reading – Read the story “Farfallina and Marcel” and study vocabulary words 
for test.
Science - Study the study guide.
