VOCABULARY WORDS: hello, could, walk, pull, all, oh, stuck, feet, tail, address, city, post office SPELLING CHOICE for Second Nine Weeks
Choose one activity each night to complete for spelling homework. Complete spelling choices Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Be sure to complete a different spelling activity each night. On Thursday, take a practice spelling test. The words missed on the practice test should be written three times each.
1. Chain Link Words - Cut 10 strips of paper and write one word on each strip of paper. Glue the strips into a chain.
2. Computer Words - Type your words on the computer. Print the sheet and bring to school.
3. Backwards Words - Write your words forward and then backward.
4. Hidden Picture Words - Draw a picture. Hide your words in the picture. Have someone try to find them. Circle each word.
5. Color Words - Write your words three (3) times each and color all the vowels.
6. Ransom Words - Write your words by cutting out letters in the newspaper or magazine and glue them onto a piece of paper.
7. Sentence Writing - Write a sentence with each spelling word.
8. Rainbow Words - Write your spelling words using a different color for each letter.
9. Triple Play Words - Write your spelling word three (3) times each.
