Dear Parents,
Sooooo . . . I think that the Reader’s Theatres scripts went AWESOME! I hope
that you feel the same way too! Please encourage your child to have fun and
really take on the personality of their character. If they are angry, work on
an angry voice, excited voice, loud voice, etc.
Thank you for all of your kind words, letters, cards, and emails of
encouragement. I appreciate all of them so much. Mrs. Benefiel is ready to
take the class back and I feel fortunate to have her back again.
Please know that Mrs. Benefiel and I communicate and that she will be teaching
the same lessons that I would be teaching if I were there. She will be working
closely with Mrs. Penn and I know that your child will blossom while I am gone.
Thank you for all that you do and keep up the good work! And a special thanks
to our Chaperone’s braving the COLD weather on our Field Trip!!!!

SCIENCE CORNER
We have been studying solids, liquids, and gasses in class. Here are some great
discussion questions and topics for home.
1. What makes a solid a solid and a liquid a liquid?
2. What does viscous mean?
3. What does transparent mean? What does translucent mean? Can you give me
an example of each?
4. What does opaque mean? Can you give me an example?
5. Tell me how the water cycle works.
