In July of 2008 my husband and I moved to the beautiful state of Louisiana
because of my husband's career path. Previously, I lived in Nebraska and
taught first grade for six years. I have been teaching at Madisonville
Elementary for three years, one year of Kindergarten and two years of first
grade. I was voted Teacher of the Year by my peers for the 2011-2012 school
year! I am very honored! This year will be the start of my tenth year in
teaching!!
I graduated from Hastings College and earned my Masters of
Educational Leadership from Doane College. I am certified
to teach Pre-K and Kindergarten through 3rd grade.
My hobbies used to include sports, spending time with family, and reading.
I have a 23 month old daughter Elizabeth and a new son Noah who was born on
October 28th.
I feel very fortunate to have the chance to work at such a wonderful
school with great students and staff members.
The mission of Madisonville Elementary School is to provide a partnership
of students, school personnel, guardians, and community, which enhance the
self-worth of all and foster a love of learning.
