Unit 4 Reading – Nature Watch	
These are the vocabulary words we will be studying during Unit 4. Your child
will be tested on the Words to Know at the end of each week and should
practice reading them nightly. When assigned, Reading Choice homework should
be done with the Words to Know. Please help develop your child’s vocabulary by
incorporating these as well as the Oral Vocabulary words into your daily
conversations.

Unit 4 Spelling – Nature Watch 	
These are the phonics skills and spelling words we will be studying during
Unit 4. Your child will be pretested on the unit words at the beginning of the
week. If your child spells the first eight unit words correctly, I will assign
the challenge words and note it on the Weekly Overview. The assigned list
should be reviewed nightly. The spelling portion of the weekly test will be on
the assigned list only. Dictation sentences incorporate unit words, included
those previously learned, and expect application of learned punctuation skills.
