To provide a nurturing environment that fosters a love of music. To broaden students understanding of music highlighting its past, present, and future. To engage students in a wide range of activities that comprehensively impart knowledge and skills across both vocal and instrumental genres. To follow a state mandated curriculum in four main areas of instruction: creative expression, critical analysis, historical perspective, and aesthetic perception. To provide training in musical performance practice as it relates to the classroom setting, school music programs and community event performances.
